Questions, Questions . . .

How do dinosaurs fit into the Genesis creation?

Were dinosaurs on the Ark during the Flood?

How did the dinosaurs die out?

Have people ever seen dinosaurs?

Are some dinosaurs still living today?

GOD MADE all things in one week, (see Note 1) and this must include the dinosaurs. But what happened to the dinosaurs? Answers to this question seem so hard to come by that people have often used dinosaurs to support evolution. The story goes that dinosaurs are a race of creatures that evolved some millions of years ago, and then died out due to various causes still unknown, only to be replaced eventually by creatures like man, the pinnacle of evolution at the present time.

What do dinosaurs really show about God's creation? In fact, going back to our original question, what really did happen to the dinosaurs? It is helpful at this point to realize that evolutionary philosophy really has no consensus on the fate of the dinosaurs (see Note 2)

We know that in the six days of creation, the Creation Week, God made a perfect world. It was a world without flaw. As Genesis 1:31 claims, it was a world where everything was very good. There was plenty of food and water for all creatures. There was no lack, and there was no death. In fact, Romans 5:12 states that death came as the result of sin, and sin did not occur until after the creation was finished.
