DAYS OF CREATION Chapter 9

The Creator showed us what He is like by His work in the Creation Week.

We see the power of His word as He spoke to create.

We see His patience as He structured His creation over several days.

We see His kindness as He made the creation totally good for all life.

We see that He is a God of order and plan, not chaos.

God has a purpose for each and every thing in His creation.

The Creator's plan for the Christian life is much like His plan in the Creation Week -- in the beginning He instantly creates new life, then He patiently structures and organizes the believer's life, His "new creation."

The Creator could have produced an "instant universe." Instead, He labored over His creation for six days, showing us that He wants to spend time with His creation.

People are very important to God. God took only six days to make the universe, but He works on each one of us for a lifetime.

Each human life is more important to God than any other kind of thing He made.

God considers people to be the pinnacle of His creation. People are the only creatures which God made in His own image.
