Urge Metro Council to vote Yes ORDINANCE NO BL2009-502 Metro Nashville non-discrimination ordinance. Final reading is 9/15/09.

On 9/15/09 The Metro Council is also scheduled to vote on appointments to the Convention Center Authority. The nominees are:

C. Mark Arnold, co-owner of tour and transportation provider Gray Line Nashville and partner in private equity firm Red Clay Capital Holdings.
Marty G. Dickens, former president of AT&T Tennessee, lead director of Avenue Bank and chairman of the Music City Center Coalition, which has advocated for a new convention center for several years.
Darrell A. Drumwright, senior pastor of The Temple Church and a former Tennessee State University faculty member.
Ken Levitan, co-president and founder of Vector Management, an artist management firm that represents Kings of Leon, Kid Rock, Emmylou Harris, Hank Williams Jr. and other acts.
Vonda McDaniel, benefits representative for the United Steel Workers Local 1055.
William "Willie" McDonald, who served more than 50 years at Third National Bank and chairs the Metro commission that oversees the existing convention center.
W. Lucas "Luke" Simons, an independent adviser, most recently with UBS Investment Bank, and co-senior partner of Nashville-based J.C. Bradford & Co. before it merged with UBS PaineWebber in 2000.
Mona Lisa Warren, a freelance event coordinator whose work has included the Country Music Association Awards, Country Music Marathon and Nashville's July 4 celebration.
Leo Waters, co-owner of Music City Information Centers Inc., immediate past chair of the Nashville Electric Service board, former Metro Council member at large and a member of the Urban Residents Association.
