UNCOMMON SOLUTIONS FOR COMMON PROBLEMS:
If these ideas sound good to you, please contribute to Daniel’s campaign today. SELF-GOVERNMENT: America and Tennessee were founded upon the concept of self-government. Founding fathers such as Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry pledged their lives in defense of self-government. Tennessee became a state because in the late 1700s the people of western North Carolina wanted self-government. The prosperity of self-government allowed America to become one of the greatest nations in the world. |

In the late twentieth century, Libertarians became the only advocates of “self-government” in America. By this time, the Democrats and Republicans had abandoned self-government in favor of other-government. While self-government trusts YOU to run your own life, other-government thinks you should trust THEM to run your life. Under other-government, the federal government tells the states what to do. The states tell the counties what to do. The counties tell the cities and towns what to do. And ALL OF THEM tell YOU what to do. Daniel Lewis is a supporter “self government”, while his opponents advocate “other government”.
JOIN THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM:
![]() The Republicans and Democrats are well established with their system of other-government. The French philosopher Charles Peguy (1873 – 1914) once remarked “Tyranny is always better organized than freedom.” If like Jefferson, Henry, and Daniel Lewis you value the Libertarian system of freedom, then join Daniel Lewis and his fellow Libertarians in Hamilton County, across the state of Tennessee, and in all fifty states as we restore self-government in Tennessee and across America. While you may agree with the Libertarian view, you may still have some reservations about supporting a Libertarian candidate or voting for a Libertarian. Many people will argue that voting for a Libertarian is just wasting their vote. Please read why you should not only support Libertarians, but also vote for them. The Republicans and Democrats have outlawed freedom. You can help Daniel Lewis and other Libertarians re-legalize freedom in the following ways:
Please keep them short (200 words or less), legible, and include your name, address and telephone number. Please use the words "Libertarian" or "libertarian". Letters may be edited by the Times Free Pressfor clarity and length.
